Ashley's Twitter got hacked?

Lately there has been a lot of drama going around on Twitter about Ashley surprisingly following about 2,612 people on her Twitter account since Sunday. Since we all know Ashley only follows a few fans, her close friends and fellow celebrities, people are saying Ashley got hacked or it's simply a malfunction of Twitter, but either way the whole situation seems very weird to everyone.
